Aya Eldighady is certified GCDF and career counselor. Aya was born in Alexandria and started to study psychology at Alexandria University in 2005.
She was accredited from the Center of Credential and Education at 2010 as a career counselor, to be one of the very first to earn this accreditation in Egypt and the Arab world.
After she was accredited she worked in many organizations (for pro fit and nonprofit) as career counselor like UNICEF and AMF. She is one of the team that initiated the first career development center in 10 governorates across Egypt with UNICEF. In 2012, she joined AM Foundation for career development and initiated a research and development team that implemented many projects to promote the culture of career development in Egypt.
In 2014 Aya founded her career and assessment center to carry on the mission of developing educational programs to enhance the culture of career development and career counseling. In 2016 Aya talked at TEDx AAST to raise awareness about importance of self-awareness and career development
GCDF credential holders are trained to help people, both individually and in a group setting, make informed decisions when considering their own career development. Through the use of best practices, various assessment tools, and career development models GCDFs equip each individual with the knowledge and skills to embark on their professional journey. GCDF credential holders find rewarding careers in government agencies, human resources departments, nonprofit organizations, correctional institutions, consumer advocacy agencies, and various departments within the educational sector.
